Headed to BEI: Back End of Innovation 2012? Tips for the Attendee

We're eagerly awaiting meeting the innovation community at BEI: Back End of Innovation next week. Here are some tips to keep in mind for our attendees as you get ready to head to the event.

When you arrive: When you arrive at the State Room, head to the Registration Desk on the 33rd floor to gain access to the conference. At registration you will receive all of your conference materials, including an updated agenda for the event. BEI staff will be happy to answer any questions you may have!

Registration hours are as follows:
o Tuesday: 8:15 - 5:00
o Wednesday: 8:00 - 5:00
o Thursday: 8:00 - 12:30

ONSITE ACTIVITIES & EXPERIENCES:

• Tuesday: ALL attendees (even if you are not registered for Tuesday summit sessions) are welcome to attend the Tuesday’s Opening Night Keynote delivered by Vice Admiral (Ret.) Joseph W. Dyer from iRobot.

• Tuesday Night: Don’t miss the opening night cocktail reception with your BEI peers! Plus the grand opening of the exhibit hall. Located in the Innovation Pavilion from 5:15-6:00pm.

• Wednesday Night: Join us for cocktails and conversation hosted by Innocentive. Located in the Innovation Pavilion from 5:30-6:30pm.

Innovation Cloud: Don't forget to join the the BEI Innovation Cloud, Powered by Imaginatik. At a special session during BEI, our Innovation Cloud will take center stage. We'll use the discussion topics submitted online to shape group collaboration. You can read more about the Innovation Cloud over on the Imaginatik blog. Make sure to submit your topic ideas before October 5th!

OTHER TIPS TO KEEP IN MIND:

• Casual Dress: We would like to create an informal atmosphere at the conference, conducive to learning and networking- business casual dress is welcome. The main guideline is for you to wear what you feel most comfortable in.

• Room Temperature: With each attendee having their own 'ideal' temperature for conference rooms, it is not always possible to accommodate everyone. Assume the space inside will be air conditioned and the outside space will be warm. If you tend to feel cold you are encouraged to bring a sweater or jacket to the sessions.

Unable to join us at BEI: Back End of Innovation this year?
We will be providing live coverage of the event here on the blog and on twitter throughout the week at hashtag #BEI12. And we will be posting additionally coverage after the live sessions wrap. Be sure to follow along and share with the community!

See you in Boston next week!
